"Я никогда не стану рисовать на памятниках архитектуры, на религиозных сооружениях. Вокруг нас достаточно серых заборов — есть где развернуться. Кстати, серьезно мы засветились как раз на таком мероприятии. В 2003 году приняли участие в фестивале «Длинные истории Екатеринбурга», где нам впервые дали в руки качественную немецкую краску. До этого приходилось рисовать только автоэмалями, соответствующими по качеству акварели. Хотя и ими мы умудрялись делать красивые вещи, за которые и сейчас не стыдно"

Современная культура городов весьма широка и разнообразна. Она охватывает все виды деятельности человека. Одним из них является граффити. Это своего рода искусство уличных стен, на которых изображают как простые слова так и изысканные рисунки. В Украине оно еще не получило должного развития и является довольно юным, 15 летним созданием. Киев, как и полагается столице, имеет немало примеров ярких и красочных стенных росписей, которые в большинстве своем, увы укрыты от глаз широкой аудитории.

 

Что объясняется его (граффити) полулегальным положением. Так, в Киеве, легально сделанных граффити насчитываются лишь единицы. Остальные – это самовольные рисунки. В основном соgraffity-райтеры здают свои работы в местах, где им можно было бы спокойно рисовать и не боятся быть арестованными за содеянное. Чаще всего такими местами становятся заброшенные дома, гаражи, улицы на окраине города, иногда вагоны поездов. Излюбленными местами граффити райтеров в Киеве являются HALL OF FAME возле р.Лыбидь, рисунки на стенах можно хорошо разглядеть из проезжающих мимо поездов и набережная Днепра, где есть изобилие пространства для творчества и граффити хорошо видны, как проплывающим мимо судам, так и с поезда метро. Со временем, ранние созданные рисунки исчезают (по причине обветшания стен, недолговечности краски, или, что чаще бывает – поверх них создаются новые) и на их месте появляются новые (конечно не всегда такого же профессионального уровня, но это, уже вопрос культуры и этики самих райтеров). И лишь фотокамера и наша память запечатлевают этот мимолетный момент жизни граффити. Но, не смотря на все барьеры, поэзия городских улиц продолжает жить и развиваться. Все чаще происходят фестивали граффити и граффити-акции, выпускается журнал о граффити. Сегодня, уже хорошо известная киевлянам группа художников INTERESNI KAZKI, работы которых можно встретить на улицах города (к примеру, их наиболее масштабный рисунок 350 кв. м. находится в ТРЦ Большевик). Они, вместе с другими командами и просто не безразличными людьми выступают за легализацию граффити. Инициативной группой был разработан целый проект и предложен городским властям Киева относительно решения данного вопроса. Но дальше обещаний дело не дошло. В Европе граффити является официально признанным видом искусства, в некоторых странах чтобы разрисовывать стены улиц нужно иметь лицензию.

Уличные художники исполняют визуальный рок-н-ролл и оттачивают свое искусство в надежде когда-то быть услышанными и увиденными.
