Тоби, одаренный химик преподающий в средней школе, останавливается по дороге, привлеченный видом молодой симпатичной девушки. Лори соблазнительно одинока и нуждается в помощи: ее автомобиль пришел в негодность. Однако все эти бытовые неурядицы меркнут перед лицом реальных проблем: милая незнакомка оказывается беглой преступницей. К тому же она вовсе не так одинока и беззащитна, как казалось. Неожиданно появляется ее друг Джеф, который и срежессировал эту "аварию" на дороге. Джеф и Лори похищают незадачливого химика и закрывают его на заброшенной ферме, надеясь вынудить Тоби производить синтетический героин, что бы криминальная парочка смогла расплатится со своими долгами с торговцами наркотиков из боливийской мафии. Тоби отказывается и тогда преступники похищают его бывшую жену - Аннет...
